Congratulations to Sycamore Canyon School, the winner of the 2012 T-Shirt Contest.

The regional board is holding a T-Shirt design contest. Our main goal is to allow teams some input into the final design of the T-Shirt that will be sold to teams at the regional tournament. We invite all interested team members to submit a design.

Contest Announcement

The T-Shirt contest is on! As in past years, the back of the shirt will list all schools that registetred for the tournament. But the front, what everyone sees, is the contest. This will be both the "officials" T-Shirt that judges wear, and the shirt that is for sale during team registration and at the regional tournament. The winning design will earn free T-Shirts for the entire team, as well as the coach or co-coaches listed on the regional registration form. The team will also be given credit somewhere on the T-Shirt, and get the associated bragging rights. So, while you are organizing your teams, set their creativity loose with the following style problem:

T-Shirt Design!

The following limitations apply to all submissions:

  1. Only team members may submit designs.
  2. One, or more, team members must produce the design. (It does NOT have to be a collaborative effort.)
  3. The design is limited to these colors:
    1. One background color (The color of the T-Shirt)
    2. Two ink colors
  4. The theme of this year's design is: OMER and his Friends (Click here for a sample of how they look. You don't have to be exact though!)
  5. Text must be kept to an absolute minimum, the picture is more important. However, each design MUST include the following:
    1. The phrase "LA Odyssey"
    2. The year "2012"
  6. Designs must be received by Saturday, November 19th, at 6:00pm. The judges will announce their decision on the Yahoo! group no later than Wednesday, November 30th.
  7. Questions about these limitations will not be answered. Again, this is a style component.
  8. Submissions may be submitted in two methods:
    1. Email:
      • Emailed an image file to la_odyssey@earthlink.net
    2. Postal Mail:
      • Mailed on an unlined sheet of 8 1/2" by 11" paper to:

  9. Be creative!

Please note: The regional board reserves the right to change any or all colors. This is the sole fundraiser we have for the year, and the "sale-ability" is important.
